We officially have a roller. Fischer is now rolling from his stomach to his back. He acts like he wants to roll from his back to stomach but hasn't quite done it yet. But soon enough he'll be rolling all around. He now also is sleeping on his side (I've peeked in on him a few times at night). We have had to stop swaddling him at night because he's turned into such a mover. There's been times when I've gone up at night and he had completely turned around in his crib, so his head is facing the totally opposite direction. Everyone keeps telling me that once they start moving they don't stop to just enjoy these next few months while he's still not moving much. :)

Fischer's First Christmas
We had a great and very crazy Christmas this year with Fischer. It was a wonderful time to spend with family and friends. But foremost it was a great time to sit down and thank God for sending his Son to be born to live here on this Earth.
Here's a quick run down of our Christmas adventure this year!
We started the Christmas season by lighting the Advent candles on the 4th Sunday in Advent in front of our church. What a special time it was to do as a new family and acknowledge Christ as we celebrated His PEACE on that Advent sunday.
This is Gma & Grand-dad (Alison's parents) with Fischer in front of the Christmas tree at church!
This is Grammy & Papa (Blake's parents) with Fischer after the Christmas Eve service at church. Fischer was so good during the service, it was right in the middle of his nap and then time to eat. He really enjoyed all the songs and lights to look at. He's a Robinson for sure with the way he LOVES music.
We of course had to go see Santa who was at the Anthem outlets. We waited in line for 45 mins behind many children crying and scared of Santa. Fischer could have cared less about Santa (which I was happy about because after waiting for 45 mins I wasn't sure how he would act).
We celebrated Christmas with Blake's family on Christmas Eve Eve (since Blake worked Christmas Eve). We started the night with opening gifts for Fischer before he went to bed. He loved every moment of it. Then we ate dinner and opened our gifts after he went to bed.
Fischer with his Aunts & Grammy. He got his own stocking this year :) As you can see he's holding some plastic keys that he got which he loved. Isn't that always how it works, they end up liking the cheapest toy!
His big gift was an exersaucer. It took Uncle Glenn reading directions to Uncle Bus and Papa to put it together.
Once put together he was fascinated with all the fun toys. His feet just barley touched the ground so I'm sure that soon enough he'll be on the move in this thing.
We started Christmas morning with breakfast at Fischer's great grandparents house. It's been a tradition ever since I can remember that we have eaten Christmas breakfast with them. So it was fun to carry on that tradition with Fischer.
We then went back to Alison's parents house to see what goodies Santa brought! :) Fischer got tons of new clothes and our big gift was a off-road stroller that also turns into a trailer that attaches to a bike. We are so excited for him to get a little bit bigger so we can start up our bike rides again. Oh and he also got a helmet to wear when he rides in the trailer.
Yep he got tired very quickly Christmas day. As you can see in this picture as he was crying. He and Blake (who was up all night the night before at work) went to go take a long afternoon nap before dinner.
Uncle Brian got him this very cute hat!!! He looks like such a stud in his new hat!
The other side of the family came over for dinner. So Fischer got to see his other great grandma.
So as you can image it was a VERY long day and Fischer had his moments of being over tired which he showed by crying. But he was such a trooper. And we all had a great first Christmas with him. I had to post this picture of him at the end of the night. This was right before we headed home. Normally he has a grin ear to ear when flying through the air, nope not this day. His face and droopy eye's shows how tired he was. He was alseep before we even backed out of my parents driveway.

Back to Work
So last week was my first week back to work with my new work schedule. I will be working 10 hours in the office (1 full day & 1 half day) and then working 10 hours from home. (as you can probably tell since my blogging has been slacking) So far it's gone very good. When my maternity leave was ending the thought of working full time, 40 hours in the office put me into tears. I couldn't image being away from Fischer after pretty much spending all day everyday with him for 12 weeks. So after going to my work we were able to work something out with a job share where I'm only working about 20 hours a week. God has been working in my life through this whole experience. He's been giving me a gentle reminder to give Him my whole heart and fully trust in Him with everything that I do. I now have a job that I can work from home part time and be with Fischer which is something I could have never imaged. And when I'm working from the office, He gives me comfort and strength so I can enjoy my time there. So far when I have had to go into the office Blake has been off work. So he is getting some great Father-Son time and loving every minute of it. I get fun picture updates all day. I think it's so special that the two of them are getting some great quality time together. And we are so blessed that if Blake is working my parents or Blake's parents will be able to watch him. God is truly raining His blessings over us right now!
When I get home from work I just want to kiss and hug Fischer as much as I can! He gives me the best smiles when he sees me for the first time after being gone all day.
So here's a picture of what our coffee table looks like when I'm working from home. When Fischer is up he gets to play with his animal friends on his bouncy chair or sit in my lap and stare at my laptop while I work. I get my work all spread out and settle into my space very nicely! It is working so good!Thursday, December 10, 2009
Happy Birthday Mom!
Tuesday was my mom's birthday! I wanted to give her a birthday shout out! (sorry it's a few days late). To celebrate her birthday my dad, Blake, Fischer and I went out to eat at Logan's Roadhouse. It was very good! :) Then my parents came back to our house for gifts and dessert. But this year she got an extra special birthday gift. It's from my parents next door neighbor that we have been long time friends with. I thought it was so great. They put this gift right in front of my parents front door so when my mom went to get the newspaper in the morning, there is was!

Thanksgiving Festivities
We had fun this Thanksgiving! We spent Fischer's first Thanksgiving at my parents house with my grandparents, brother & aunt. We cooked TWO turkey's, my mom cooked one in the oven with all the goodies inside and then Blake fried one in our turkey fryer outside. Oh how I just love this holiday. You get to eat way too much food and have a good excuse, well just because its Thanksgiving is a good enough reason for me! Then we went to Amanda's parents house (Sam and Carol Jackson's) for dessert, live music and a fire in the fire-pit. It was fun to get to see the rest of Blake's family for dessert. This was also the first night we put Fischer down for bed somewhere else than home. He did so good! He fell right asleep and was such a trooper when we woke him up to drive home. This is one of many time's we'll be doing that this holiday season!

An Eskimo Joe's Family
What is Eskimo Joe's you ask? Eskimo Joe's is a restaurant in Stillwater, Oklahoma near the campus of Oklahoma State University. But it's not just any restaurant, it's one of the most popular burger joints in OK. With the OSU campus being dry and this restaurant being just off the campus of OSU it is VERY popular. This restaurant was also featured on the Food Network show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives for serving the coldest beer. So in Oklahoma when people think of OSU they also think of Eskimo Joe's. With both Blake's mom and dad graduating from OSU and Blake going to OSU for a semester the Robinson family has a TON of Eskimo Joe's pride. As you probably already know since the Eskimo Joe's shirts are worn frequently by the Robinson men. And I have to admit I have this shirt in probably 3 to 4 different colors (it was a requirement to own a few of these shirts to take the Robinson last name haha). And not to mention everyone in the Robinson family also has Eskimo Joe's cups in their cupboards. But I can say that I have eaten at this restaurant. I traveled back to OK with Blake's family one year before we were married and we of course had to eat at this place. It is a great burger joint!
So of course when Blake's parents found out I was pregnant they bought Fischer a few shirts. And they also bought us matching Eskimo Joe's shirts. So we had to take a picture of us as a family all wearing our matching Eskimo Joe's shirts. Blake would like me to mention that the color was not of his choosing! :)
So to make things even more cheesy Blake and I brought our Eskimo Joe's t-shirts on our honeymoon so we could get a picture of us in them in Jamaica. We had intentions of sending his photo into them because in the last page of every catalog they post pictures that people send in of families wearing their shirts in different parts of the world, but we never did. :) As I said we are an Eskimo Joe's family!!

Fischer and Mommy Talking
So Fischer has definitely discovered his voice. It's pretty cute. He talks to himself in his crib, in the car and randomly during the day. He's a hard one to video because every time he sees the camera he stops talking, as you will see in the end of this video! HA So Blake was able to sneak a video of him talking to me.

A Great Day For A Picnic
The weather was so nice today we decided to pack up our lunch and head to the park for a picnic. It was Fischer's first time to the Anthem Park! We sat at a picnic table right near the water and watched all the ducks swim around. We can't wait for when Fischer gets older so we can take him to this park to fish (catch and release), feed the ducks, run around in the open grass, ride the train and play on the playground. We are so thankful we have this park so close to us.

I'm a big boy now!
So sorry that I have been slacking on my blogging. I was having a brain freeze on ideas to write about. But as usual I can ALWAYS write about our little boy! He is getting so big and changing so much. We are having so much fun everyday hanging out together. He now smiles all of the time and he will follow me walk around the room. I'm loving every minute of it. So here's an idea of how our days go. Fischer is getting up around 8am. We hang out and play, then he goes down for a nap from 10am to 11am. He nurses then we usually go for a walk with one of the puppies. The weather has been so nice that I can't stay in the house all day. Then he naps from 12:30 to 2pm. He nurses and then we do some play time on his mat and get some tummy time in, which he's not a big fan of, but we gotta do it anyways. He then naps from 4pm to 5pm and then nurses. He's then up until bed time which he usually in his crib by 7:30pm. A few weeks ago we started putting him down for his naps in his crib upstairs. He didn't even seem to notice. Then this last Sunday we made the official move of him sleeping up there at night. The first night Blake and I didn't get much sleep at all. Our ears were glued to the monitor. It definitely took a bit to get used to listening for the monitor instead of having him right there in our room in his pack and play. Moving up there at night was no big deal for him. He actually has been sleeping soooooo good. He's in his crib by 7:30pm after he nurses and then the past two nights he slept until 5:45am one day and then 6:45am another day. I could hardly believe it, that's over 10 hours. He usually get up around 4:30am for his feeding so we'll see if he's just going through a phase sleeping that long. He's such a big boy! I'm trying to soak in every moment I get with him.
Here's a stinking cute picture of him smiling with one of his favorite toys.
He's a big fan of his play mat, especially his green octopus.
Everyday we read together. Sometimes more than once a day but usually right before bedtime. This is one of his favorite books the Adventure Bible Storybook.
We always take one of the puppies with us on our walk. I think they are loving getting out of the house too! As you can see Bunker was a little tired after this walk.
I couldn't help but to take a picture after our walk one day!
Yeah, I'm a big boy in my crib! (No his PJ's don't always match his bedding ha)
